Biography
DAOUD ABADA (the second son-הבן השני) ENGLISH: The roots of the Abada family begin in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. There was always an important Jewish community in this country, since the biblical exodus to Babel. In the end of the 19th century, all the Middle East was part of the Ottoman Empire. Then Yehezkel Abada, his wife and 7 children, (all boys), immigrate to Egypt, thru Lebanon and Palestine. The family lived in Tanta, a city in the Nile delta, north of Cairo. Later on, after the boys marriages, they moved to Cairo. Daoud Abada, the second boy, married to Regina, and lived in Cairo. There are few info an details about his life…They had 3 children, one boy and 2 girls. In 1923, Daoud died, … he was 32 years old, (so, he was born in 1891), and his first son Hayim was 6 years old. In 1949, Hayim Abada, immigrate to Israel and lived in Tirat Hacarmel, south of Haifa… But his 2 sisters, stayed in Cairo with mother Regina. They married and have their own families. In Israel, Hayim married to Esther Attiya, and have 8 children . ---------------------
